Trump to meet Field Marshal Asim Munir over lunch today
WASHINGTON: Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff, Field Marshal Asim Munir, will meet with US President Donald Trump over lunch today, White House.
According to the White House, if President Trump speaks to the media or posts on social media during the meeting, he can share details about the discussion.
A high-security source has indicated that the meeting is expected to occur around 1:00 PM local time, which corresponds to approximately 10:00 PM Pakistan time.
This meeting could serve as an important platform for bilateral relations and discussions on regional issues between the two leaders and also on the Middle East crisis.
It is worth noting that prior to this, Field Marshal Asim Munir addressed the Pakistani community in Washington, D.C., where he appreciated President Trump’s efforts to highlight the Kashmir issue.
Field Marshal has spent the past two days at the Pentagon watching demonstrations of traditional drills, advanced technology, and cyber warfare techniques.
