
Karachi: The Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) is honoring the 72nd birth anniversary of Benazir Bhutto, the trailblazing first female Prime Minister of the Islamic world, whose legacy continues to inspire millions across Pakistan and beyond.
On the eve of her birth anniversary, PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari paid heartfelt tribute to his mother, describing her as an everlasting symbol of bravery, democracy, and hope for the nation.
In a statement from Bilawal House, he reflected “We remember not just the birth of Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto, but the birth of a movement — a fearless voice for the voiceless, a tireless champion, and a daughter of the East whose heartbeat echoed across Pakistan.”
He said that Shaheed Benazir dedicated her life to the dream of a democratic, progressive, and inclusive Pakistan, adding that she fought for women’s rights, minority protections, the upliftment of the poor, and the restoration of democracy.
He added that she broke the chains of fear and silenced the guns of tyranny with the strength of her words and the power of her principles.
Bilawal said that Benazir Bhutto’s politics were rooted in compassion and conviction. He urged the nation, especially the youth, to draw inspiration from her life and rise against injustice, inequality, and extremism.

In his message on the occasion of 72nd Birth Anniversary of Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto, the President said that Benazir Bhutto resisted dictatorship with courage and steadfastness.
He said we will strengthen democracy by taking guidance from the vision of Benazir Bhutto.
The President said Benazir Bhutto was the voice of the underprivileged and minorities and aspired for a peaceful and prosperous Pakistan. He said that Benazir Bhutto remained a champion of the social and economic empowerment of women.
