Tom Cruise, Ana de Armas break up after short romance

Tom Cruise and Ana de Armas have reportedly called it quits after less than a year together.

According to The Sun, the pair decided to part ways after realizing their relationship had lost its initial spark.

“The spark had gone between them but they still love each other’s company and they’ve both been really adult about it,” a source told the outlet.

Cruise, 63, and de Armas, 37, are said to remain on good terms despite ending their romance.

“Tom and Ana had a good time together but their time as a couple has run its course,” the insider explained.

“They are going to remain good friends but they aren’t dating anymore.” The source added, “They just realized they weren’t going to go the distance and that they are better off as mates.”

Representatives for both stars have not yet commented on the split.

The Top Gun star and the Ballerina actress first sparked dating rumours in February after being spotted at dinner in London.

Over the months that followed, the two were seen together on several romantic outings, including a private boat trip in Spain in July.

Their relationship appeared to become more public when they were spotted attending an Oasis concert at London’s Wembley Stadium later that same month.

In a video shared by DJ Goldie, the couple could be seen dancing and holding hands as they enjoyed the music.

Though neither of them ever directly confirmed their relationship, their affectionate appearances seemed to speak for themselves.

In late July, the pair were photographed holding hands in Vermont, offering the clearest sign that they were indeed a couple.

In May, de Armas had hinted at their connection during an appearance on Good Morning America, where she described her relationship with Cruise as “fun” and revealed that they were working on “a few projects” together.

Cruise has been married three times before, to Mimi Rogers, Nicole Kidman, and Katie Holmes, while de Armas was previously married to Spanish actor Marc Clotet.

She also dated Ben Affleck from 2019 to 2021 and was later linked to Manuel Anido Cuesta, the stepson of Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, in 2024.

Despite their high-profile romance coming to an end, both Cruise and de Armas are said to have handled the breakup amicably, choosing friendship over continuing a relationship that no longer felt right.
