Three U.S. service members have been killed and five others seriously injured amid escalating military tensions in the Middle East.
In a statement, United States Central Command (CENTCOM) confirmed that the casualties occurred during recent clashes linked to Iran.
Military officials said the injured personnel are receiving immediate medical treatment, while some troops sustained minor wounds, including shrapnel injuries caused by explosions. Those with less severe injuries are reportedly being returned to duty in phases.
CENTCOM did not disclose the location of the fatalities or provide specific details about the ongoing operation. However, this marks the first official confirmation of U.S. military casualties in the latest round of tensions involving Iran.
