Three Pakistani squash stars enter elite global rankings

Noor Zaman, Asghab Irfan, and Hamza Khan record major ranking improvements after strong international performances.

Pakistan’s presence in international squash continues to strengthen as three of its players have earned places among the world’s top 100 in the latest global rankings.

The updated list released by the Professional Squash Association features Pakistan’s Noor Zaman, Muhammad Asghab Irfan, and Hamza Khan among the elite group of the top 100 players worldwide.

Under-23 world champion Noor Zaman delivered standout performances across several international tournaments, surging five places to reach 38th in the world rankings.

Previously positioned at 43rd, Noor collected an impressive 248 points from 11 international events. He is the grandson of legendary former world champion Qamar Zaman, continuing his family’s proud squash legacy on the global stage.

Muhammad Asghab Irfan also posted steady progress, rising one spot to secure the 47th position in the world. His consistent run across 14 international competitions earned him a total of 193 ranking points.

Meanwhile, former World Junior Champion Hamza Khan produced one of the most eye-catching climbs in the rankings. The 20-year-old jumped 14 places to achieve a career-high world ranking of 86, after accumulating 98 points from eight international tournaments.

These latest advancements underline a promising revival of Pakistani squash at the international level, signaling a new wave of talent making its mark on the global circuit.
