
Terrorists attack multiple areas in Balochistan, Reports of passenger abductions
QUETTA: Militants belonging to the group referred to as “Fitna-e-Hindustan” launched coordinated attacks in Quetta, Kalat, Mastung, and Sar Dagh on Wednesday, according to reports from local authorities. There are also unconfirmed reports of passenger abductions near Sar Dagh.
Spokesperson for the Balochistan government, Shahid Rind, confirmed the attacks and stated that security forces responded swiftly and effectively at all three locations. He assured the public that law enforcement agencies remain fully alert and committed to protecting the lives and property of citizens.
Speaking on the Sar Dagh incident, Rind noted that initial intelligence suggests some passengers may have been abducted by the militants. In response, a large-scale search and rescue operation has been launched in the affected areas.
“The protection of public life and property is our top priority,” said Rind, emphasizing that security forces are on high alert across the region.
Authorities have not yet confirmed the number of casualties or missing persons. Further updates are expected as the situation develops.
