Taylor Swift’s album, Folklore, has joined the 11 billion streams club after Lover and Midnights, and Swifties could not be happier.

The 35-year-old pop superstar released the lyrical masterpiece in 2020, in the midst of a global pandemic, and earned a special place in listeners’ heart.

The Fate of Ophelia hitmaker revealed that she was inspired by many books, and characters to weave the narrative of her album, which she claimed, was not entirely biographical.

The 14-time-Grammy winner also credited her then-boyfriend, Joe Alwyn, for a number of songs on the album since they co-wrote them.

The Love Story singer marked a significant turning point in Swift’s discography, as it was a major break from her pop songs towards the alternative rock sound of Folklore.

Although as a pandemic album, Folklore didn’t get the regular promotions on press, but Swift recorded special acoustic sessions for the album, the long pond sessions.

The All Too Well songstress later included her eighth studio album in the setlist of her Eras Tour.

Swifties celebrated the milestone on social media, with one declaring on X, “Folklore is arguably Taylor Swift’s best album, beautiful poetic storytelling.”

Another wrote, “I’ve never seen someone say anything bad about this album, SHE’S THE FAVOURITE.”

A third chimed in, “an indie album mind u.”

It is to be noted that Folklore has also become one of the fastest albums to surpass 11 billion streams, joining Lover and Midnights.
