Security sources foiled a suicide attack on a camp in North Waziristan’s Mir Ali district, killing at least four terrorists, reported state broadcaster PTV on Friday.
One militant drove an explosive-laden vehicle into the perimeter wall of a security forces’ camp. Three others attempted to storm the compound on foot and were shot dead outside the camp in what security officials described as a “prompt and decisive” response by the troops.
Separately, security forces have killed 34 militants described as “India-backed terrorists” during multiple operations across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa over the past three days, the military’s media wing said in a statement on Thursday.
