Special Independence Train flagged off from Karachi to Tharparkar

KARACHI: Pakistan’s 78th Independence Day is being celebrated this year under the theme “Battle for Truth”, with a series of events taking place across Sindh.

As part of the celebrations, a special Independence Train, decorated with national flags and banners depicting the freedom movement, was launched from Karachi to Tharparkar. The train was inaugurated by Senior Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon and Minister for Culture and Tourism Zulfiqar Shah.

Speaking at the inauguration, Senior Sindh Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon said the provincial government’s arrangements for the celebrations were unparalleled. He added that Pakistan’s armed forces and the nation together had defeated India.

Sharjeel Memon said India had been overly proud of its technology, but its Rafale and other aircraft were shot down, leaving it in a humiliating shock from which it has yet to recover.

He added that the Indian government no longer even has lies left to show its people, while Pakistan’s forces have decisively defeated India.

The senior Sindh minister further stated that the Pakistani nation must put aside differences and unite to face challenges together.

Sharjeel Inam Memon said that Bilawal Bhutto, along with a diplomatic delegation, had effectively presented Pakistan’s narrative, raised the voice for global peace, and exposed Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s true face before the world.

He added that credit for the Independence Day celebrations goes to the Department of Culture and the Department of Sports, noting that a musical show in Karachi today is open to the public free of charge.

The senior Sindh minister further said that on this special occasion of Independence Day, the train will run to Chhor free of cost, with all arrangements in place.
