Seth Meyers reacts to Rob Reiner’s shocking death

Seth Meyers is the latest celebrity who has paid his tribute to the industry titan Rob Reiner after he was killed with his wife, Michele Singer Reiner, at their home in Brentwood.
The late-night host recalls meeting the noted director a couple of times in his life, remembering how “lucky” he was to meet him in person.
“Both his work that I was lucky enough to experience, and then the few times I got to interact with him as a person, he was a man who set an example,” he says on Late Night With Seth Meyers.
“And there’s such a value in that. And we have to do everything we can to not make setting an example a lost art. So I just want to send my condolences to the Reiner family and just say Michele and Rob, rest in peace,” the star adds.
However, amid glowing tributes, Donald Trump’s post about Rob’s death stands out due to the criticism it attracts.
“A tortured and struggling, but once very talented movie director and comedy star, has passed away, together with his wife, Michele, reportedly due to the anger he caused others through his massive, unyielding, and incurable affliction with a mind crippling disease known as TRUMP DERANGEMENT SYNDROME, sometimes referred to as TDS,” he posted on Truth Social.
“He was known to have driven people CRAZY by his raging obsession of President Donald J. Trump, with his obvious paranoia reaching new heights as the Trump Administration surpassed all goals and expectations of greatness,” the president further wrote.
Seth, like his colleague Jimmy Kimmel, took a strong stance on the post by calling out Trump for making Rob’s death about himself.
“I feared this was something he was going to do, and I was pretty certain it would cast a shadow on what was already a really dark day, but it was even worse than I could have imagined, he concludes, before adding, “The president made it about himself, because he’s incapable of making it about anything else.”
