Security forces have killed nine foreign terrorists during two separate operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Pakistan’s security forces carried out two separate operations in different areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, killing nine militants affiliated with the India-backed Tehreek-ul-Khawarij.
The first operation was conducted in Dera Ismail Khan based on actionable intelligence, where security forces successfully neutralized four militants during an intelligence-based operation.
The second operation took place in Bannu district, where five militants killed by security forces.
The ISPR stated that a large cache of weapons and ammunition was recovered from the militants during the operations. The deceased were involved in attacks on security forces and innocent civilians.
According to ISPR, sanitization operations are ongoing in the areas to eliminate any remaining militants. The ISPR emphasized that counter-terrorism operations will continue nationwide with full intensity under the policy of “Azm-e-Istiqamat” until terrorism is completely eradicated.
The ISPR further reiterated that Pakistan’s security forces remain committed to eliminating the scourge of terrorism from the country and are taking all necessary measures to safeguard the peace and security of the nation.
