After 15 years away, the beloved animated comedy King of the Hill is making a highly anticipated return. The reboot will bring fans back to the fictional town of Arlen, Texas, following the lives of Hank, Peggy, Bobby Hill, and their friends.
The animated series follows the life of propane salesman Hank Hill, who lives with his substitute-teacher wife Peggy, wannabe comedian son Bobby, and deadbeat niece Luanne. Hank has strikingly stereotypical views about country but is unpretentious and sees the world simply.
Co-creators Greg Daniels and Mike Judge — who also voices Hank Hill — are leading the revival, with most of the original cast reprising their roles.
Tragically, Johnny Hardwick, the original voice of Dale Gribble, passed away in 2023 after recording part of the season. Toby Huss has stepped in to complete the role.
Another loss includes Jonathan Joss, the voice of John Redcorn, who died in June 2025 after finishing his recordings.
