Rain expected in twin cities till April 9

After four days of intermittent rain, bright sunshine prevailed throughout the day in Islamabad and Rawalpindi, and the sky remained completely clear.

However, the Pakistan Meteorological Department has said that a new weather system will enter the country from tomorrow, bringing more rain to the twin cities until April 9.

Rain and hailstorms are also likely in parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan. The National Disaster Management Authority has issued a flood alert for some areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

According to the weather department, strong westerly winds will start entering the country from this evening, causing more rainfall in different regions, including Islamabad, until April 9.

The NDMA has also warned people across the country about possible severe weather, saying that flood-like conditions could develop in some areas. Local authorities have been told to stay prepared for any emergency.
