QTCinderella issues apology after dismissive livestream comments go viral

Resurfaced clips of QTCinderella’s boyfriend, Ludwig Ahgren, making homophobic jokes at TwitchCon fuelled criticism
Twitch streamer Blaire “QTCinderella” apologised for her comments during a livestream with Vanillamace, where she defended her friendships with people who are accused of homophobia and racism.
Amid the backlash and discussions about accountability in the streamer community, she owned up to being dismissive toward queer and POC.
Her remarks came during a stream with Emily “Vanillamace” and KatieB, where she said, “If I’m kind to a hateful person, that doesn’t mean I agree with them”.
The clip drew widespread criticism after being circulated online. While some accused QTCinderella of showing “privileged indifference”, others argued that her comments were being taken out of context.
QTCinderella did end up apologising for her words, stating that she was “deeply sorry” for how they came across.
She acknowledged that her remarks were “irresponsible and dismissive,” and that she her intention was not to excuse harmful behaviour. “I’ll do better in how I communicate and be more thoughtful about the words I use,” she vowed.
The controversy caught attention due to resurfaced clips of QTCinderella’s boyfriend, Ludwig Ahgren, making homophobic jokes at TwitchCon San Diego 2025.
Vanillamace publicly distanced herself from the incident, announcing a hiatus while Fanfan defended QTCinderella, citing misinterpretation.
