Punjab allocates Rs7.6b for sports, youth affairs

LAHORE: The Punjab government has allocated a budget of Rs7.60 billion for sports and youth affairs. Funds have been earmarked for 96 ongoing schemes and 88 new schemes.

In the budget presented by the Punjab government, Rs5.16 billion has been allocated for ongoing schemes. Ongoing schemes include those for hockey, squash, and athletic tracks, as well as the Chief Minister’s programme, “Khelta Punjab” (Playing Punjab), and other initiatives. The government has allocated Rs2.43 billion for new schemes.
