Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Thursday assured the Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) of his government’s support for the party’s proposed amendments to the local government law under the 27th Constitutional Amendment.
The assurance came during a meeting between the prime minister and a seven-member MQM-P delegation led by Dr Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui at the Prime Minister’s House in Islamabad.
The delegation included Sindh Governor Kamran Khan Tessori, Federal Health Minister Syed Mustafa Kamal, National Assembly members Dr Farooq Sattar, Javed Hanif Khan, Syed Amin-ul-Haq, and Khawaja Izhar-ul-Hassan.
