PM Shehbaz vows to strengthen relations with Türkiye, holds talks with Defence Minister
ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif met Turkish Defence Minister Yasar Guler and reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to deepening ties with Türkiye.
Shehbaz Sharif warmly welcomed the Turkish minister and his delegation, praising the historic and brotherly bond between Pakistan and Türkiye. He expressed satisfaction with the positive direction of bilateral relations and stressed the need to strengthen them further through regular engagement.
The Prime Minister urged both countries to work together to achieve the $5 billion trade target and invited Turkish companies to expand their investment in Pakistan.
Both sides reaffirmed their strong and consistent support for each other’s core national interests. They also agreed to continue joint efforts to further enhance the strategic partnership between Pakistan and Türkiye.
Later, the Prime Minister hosted a dinner in honor of the Turkish Defence Minister and members of the Pakistan-Türkiye Joint Ministerial Commission.
