
Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif paid a glowing tribute to Captain Sarwar Shaheed, Pakistan’s first recipient of the Nishan-e-Haider, on the occasion of his 77th martyrdom anniversary.
In his message, the Prime Minister lauded Captain Sarwar’s bravery and unwavering commitment to defending the nation. “The entire nation pays tribute today on the martyrdom anniversary of Captain Sarwar Shaheed,” he said.
Highlighting the historic significance of Captain Sarwar’s sacrifice, “Captain Sarwar Shaheed thwarted the enemy’s nefarious ambitions to occupy Jammu and Kashmir,” adding that “he embraced martyrdom while defeating the enemy’s plans.”
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif emphasized that the valiant soldiers of Pakistan’s Armed Forces have consistently placed the nation’s security above their own lives. “The soldiers of Pakistan’s Armed Forces have always prioritized the defense of the nation over their own lives,” he said.
He reaffirmed the nation’s commitment to honoring its heroes: “The Pakistani nation can never forget the sacrifices of its martyrs.”
