PM Shehbaz Sharif Announces Cash Reward for U-19 Asia Cup Team

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has announced a cash reward of Rs10 million for each player of the national Under-19 cricket team for winning the Under-19 Asia Cup.

The prime minister met the victorious Under-19 team at the Prime Minister’s House, where a reception and luncheon were hosted in their honor. On the occasion, he warmly congratulated the players and team management on their outstanding victory against India.

Chairman Pakistan Cricket Board Mohsin Naqvi and several federal ministers were also present at the event. The prime minister praised the young cricketers for their hard work, discipline, and for making the nation proud by raising the national flag.

Earlier, PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi had also announced a reward of Rs5 million for each player of the Under-19 Asia Cup–winning team.

It is worth noting that Pakistan defeated India by a massive margin of 191 runs in the final of the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) Under-19 Asia Cup, played in Dubai, thanks to an outstanding batting performance by Samir Minhas.
