
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has arrived in Saudi Arabia along with a high-level delegation.
At the Royal Terminal in Riyadh, he was warmly received by Deputy Governor of Riyadh, Prince Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Abdulaziz. Other senior Saudi officials were also present to welcome the Pakistani premier.
Pakistan’s Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Ahmad Farooq, and other diplomatic staff also greeted Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif at the airport.
A meeting was held at the airport lounge between Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Deputy Governor Prince Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Abdulaziz. During the meeting, both sides discussed Pakistan-Saudi relations and bilateral cooperation.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is scheduled to meet Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman later today.
The meeting will include discussions on the regional situation in the Middle East and other important matters of mutual interest.
Both leaders will also talk about strengthening bilateral relations, expanding economic cooperation, exploring new investment opportunities, and collaborating on energy projects. Peace and stability in the region will also be a key focus of the discussions.
During his visit, the Prime Minister is expected to hold important meetings with the Saudi King and other senior officials. Discussions will focus on strengthening bilateral relations, as well as regional and global developments of mutual interest.
Sources indicate that following his visit to Saudi Arabia, Prime Minister Sharif will travel to the United Kingdom, where he will stay for two days before departing for the United States.
In the U.S., Prime Minister Sharif is scheduled to address the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) and hold meetings with key global leaders.
