The prime minister expressed gratitude to the leadership of both countries for accepting Pakistan’s mediation proposal and agreeing to visit Islamabad for negotiations.
He described the development as not only an honor for Pakistan but also a significant moment for the Muslim world.
Shehbaz Sharif said Pakistan played a key role in persuading both sides to agree to a temporary ceasefire and extended invitations for dialogue in Islamabad.
He also congratulated the foreign ministry team for their efforts, particularly acknowledging the role of Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir in facilitating the diplomatic breakthrough.
