LAHORE: Discussions are underway between the Pakistan Cricket Board and Zimbabwe Cricket to reschedule the upcoming white-ball series between the two teams.
According to sources, the series is being reconsidered due to a packed schedule that includes the Pakistan Super League and Pakistan’s tour of Bangladesh. As a result, the Pakistan–Zimbabwe white-ball series will not be played according to the original schedule.
Sources said Zimbabwe’s tour of Pakistan was initially scheduled for April–May under the Future Tours Programme (FTP).
However, both boards are now discussing the possibility of finding a window later this year. There is also a chance that the white-ball series could be rescheduled to next year.
Meanwhile, Pakistan is set to host the Pakistan Super League in April, followed by a tour of Bangladesh in May, where the national team will play a two-match Test series.
Sources added that Pakistan’s Test series in Bangladesh will conclude on May 20. Later in the month, Cricket Australia is scheduled to send the Australia national cricket team to Pakistan for a three-match ODI series.
