Pakistan’s PUBG squad ‘4Thrives’ qualifies for 2025 Esports World Cup

Web Desk: Pakistan’s Esports scene reached on a historic achievement, PUBG Mobile team  “4Thrives” achieved the country’s first-ever qualification for Esports World Cup 2025.

The team earned their spot by finishing as the second runner-up at the PMSL Central and South Asia (CSA) Spring 2025 event, competing against some of the region’s top squads.

Formed in December 2024, 4Thrives comprises talented players CAIRO, FALAK, IQ, NOCKi, and T24OP. Despite being a relatively new team, they have rapidly risen through the ranks, demonstrating exceptional skill, determination, and teamwork.

Remarkably, they achieved this milestone without any sponsorship—an uncommon feat in the competitive esports landscape dominated by well-funded organizations.

Their journey to the international stage was paved through impressive performances in national and regional tournaments, notably excelling in the PMNC Pakistan, which helped propel them to the larger platform of the PMSL CSA. Securing third place in the tournament, they earned a cash prize of $17,000 from a total prize pool of $200,000.

The team will now represent Pakistan at the Esports World Cup 2025 in Riyadh, a global event that features elite teams from around the world across multiple gaming titles. With a total prize pool exceeding $70 million—the largest in Esports history—the competition promises to be fierce.

Specifically, the PUBG Mobile category boasts a dedicated prize pool of $2 million, attracting top contenders from every region.

“4Thrives” qualification marks a significant milestone for Pakistani Esports, highlighting the potential of young talent and the growing strength of the regional competitive scene.
