
Renowned Pakistani e-gamer Arslan Ash has secured his sixth EVO title after defeating fellow countryman Atif Butt in the grand final.
Arslan Siddique, popularly known as Arslan Ash, has now become the first professional gamer to win the Tekken 7 championship four times. His previous victories include three titles at EVO Las Vegas and two at EVO Japan.
In a highly anticipated final, Arslan Ash defeated his formidable countryman and rival, Atif Butt, to secure the title. The match was a culmination of intense rivalry and mutual respect between two of the world’s best Tekken players.
Following his win, Arslan Ash spoke to a journalist about the intense competition. “We both (Atif Butt) worked very hard for this, and we knew we would have to face each other,” he said. “Atif is one of the best players in the world. I knew he was very strong, and to be honest, I didn’t want to face him. We play against each other every day and know each other’s weaknesses.”
The EVO Tekken 8 Championship featured more than 2,500 players from across the globe and was a key part of the Tekken World Tour and an Esports World Cup qualifier. Arslan Ash’s latest triumph adds to an already stellar career, which includes three EVO Las Vegas titles and two EVO Japan titles.
