Pakistani talent recognized globally in Nuclear Science contest

Pakistani students have made the nation proud by winning an impressive four medals at the International Nuclear Science Olympiad in Malaysia.

The team’s outstanding performance included one gold, one silver, and two bronze medals, highlighting the young students’ exceptional talent and dedication in the field of nuclear science.

The individual medal winners are Muhammad Tayyab Bukhari, who clinched the gold medal; Ammar Asad Warraich, who secured the silver; and Rauh Javaid and Tathir Aima Naqvi, who each earned a bronze medal. Their collective achievement underscores the high standard of scientific education and training they have received.

According to a statement from the Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission (PAEC), the competition featured participants from 19 countries, including major global players like China, Japan, and Turkey. The Pakistani team was led by Dr. Sajjad Tahir and Dr. Muhammad Maqsood, whose guidance proved instrumental in the team’s success on the international stage.

The Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission celebrated the victory, stating that it represents a “significant milestone” for Pakistan’s nuclear education. The PAEC also highlighted that this success is a testament to the organization’s crucial role in training the nation’s young and aspiring scientists.
