Pakistani fan wearing team shirt ousted from Old Trafford ground

MANCHESTER: A Pakistani cricket fan was removed from Old Trafford Stadium during the ongoing Test match between India and England for wearing a Pakistan team shirt.

The spectator, identified as Farooq Nazar, said he was simply watching the match when security personnel approached him and asked him to cover his Pakistan jersey. When he did not comply, he was escorted out of the stadium.

“I was just enjoying the game when security asked me to cover my shirt,” Farooq Nazar stated, expressing his disappointment over the incident.

The removal has sparked debate on social media regarding fan rights and inclusivity in international sporting events.

Farooq Nazar stated that the security personnel told him to either change his shirt or leave the stadium. He said the incident had complained to the English Cricket Board and the local administration.

It should be noted that the incident took place during the fourth Test match between England and India.

The Manchester Test played between England and India was drawn, England have a 1-2 lead in a five-match series.
