
LAHORE: Pakistan’s bowlers have made notable strides in the latest ICC T20I rankings, riding high on recent strong performances in international matches. Haris Rauf and Abbas Afridi have surged into joint 18th place, each accumulating 605 rating points, highlighting their growing influence in Pakistan’s pace arsenal.
Shaheen Shah Afridi also gained ground, moving up to 35th spot with 552 points, while vice-captain Shadab Khan and spinner Abrar Ahmed have climbed to joint 58th, both securing 476 points. In contrast, promising youngsters Naseem Shah and Sufiyan Muqeem saw their rankings dip, slipping to 92nd and 95th, respectively.
At the top of the bowling charts, New Zealand’s Jacob Duffy leads the global pack, followed by Adil Rashid of England and India’s Varun Chakaravarthy. In the batting department, Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan have maintained their consistent form, holding on to 12th and 13th positions, respectively. Mohammad Haris remains steady at 30th, but Hasan Nawaz and Saim Ayub have dropped to 46th and 62nd. The T20I skipper (unnamed in the release) slid to 76th, and Fakhar Zaman edged down to 87th.
