Pakistan men’s team cleared to participate in Asia Cup hockey

ISLAMABAD: India has granted official clearance to the Pakistan hockey team to participate in the upcoming Asia Cup Hockey Tournament, scheduled to be held next month.

According to Indian media reports, the Indian Ministry of Interior Affairs and Ministry of External Affairs have granted clearance to the Pakistani hockey team to participate in the upcoming Asia Cup Hockey Tournament scheduled to be held in India next month.

The Ministry of Sports said that it is not against Pak -India competitions in international tournaments, international competitions require that we cannot withdraw from these matches.

The Indian Ministry of Sports added that Pakistan will not stop the hockey team from participating in the Asia Cup.

It is worth mentioning that the Asia Cup Hockey Tournament will be held in Rajgir, Bihar, from August 27 to September 7.

Earleir,Pakistan emerged victorious in the Plate Division final of the ongoing Asian Youth Girls Netball Championship in South Korea, defeating Maldives with a commanding score of 60–35.

The national team remained unbeaten throughout the tournament, securing seven consecutive wins, including the final. In a dominant performance, Pakistan did not allow the Maldives to take the lead in any quarter of the match.

This flawless run underscores Pakistan’s growing strength in youth netball on the Asian stage.
