Islamabad: Pakistan is ready to negotiate with India if US plays a role for mediation,says Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar

While speaking to the Al-Arabiya DPM Dar reaffirmed, Islamabad’s commitment to peace and regional stability, emphasizing Pakistan’s desire for peaceful ties with all nations.

He said, “We are a peace-loving nation; we do not wish aggression against any country,
It takes two hands to clap; we cannot do anything alone”

Dar stated that, Pakistan would welcome a visit of US President Donald Trump and expressed a desire to strenght ties with both Washington and Bejing.

Talking about the Regional issues DPM Dar stressed the urgent need to resolve the Kashmir and Palestine conflicts.

“A resolution of the Palestine and Kashmir issues is essential,” he stated, urging the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) and the United Nations to take “practical steps” toward peace. “We want the Kashmir issue resolved according to UN resolutions.”

Dar confirmed Pakistan’s support for the upcoming France-Saudi Arabia-backed conference on the two-state solution, to be held in New York on July 28 and 29, emphasizing that increasing international recognition of Palestine is key to a lasting peace.

“Our stance is that the two-state solution is the only path to peace in Palestine,” he said. “The number of countries recognizing Palestine should increase.”

On the broader Middle East conflict, Dar reiterated Pakistan’s preference for diplomacy in resolving tensions, particularly between Iran and Israel.

“Pakistan supports a diplomatic resolution to the Iran-Israel conflict,” he said, reaffirming Pakistan’s close ties with Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and Qatar.
