Pakistan has zero tolerance policy against terrorism, says Foreign Office Spokesperson
Islamabad: Pakistan’s Foreign Office has once again stressed its zero-tolerance policy against terrorism and emphasized that international cooperation is a key part of this approach.
The FO spokesperson said Pakistan continues to act as a frontline state in the global fight against terrorism and has played a major role in promoting peace around the world. Highlighting the success of its efforts, the FO announced the arrest of Sharifullah, the mastermind behind the deadly Abbey Gate bombing in Kabul. This arrest, they said, proves Pakistan’s strong and effective actions against terrorist groups.
The spokesperson also rejected India’s claims linking the banned group Lashkar-e-Taiba to the recent Pahalgam attack in Indian-held Kashmir. He stated that such claims are not supported by facts and are part of India’s efforts to shift focus from human rights abuses in Kashmir.
Pakistan has taken serious steps to eliminate terrorist networks, including dismantling banned organizations, arresting their leaders, and rehabilitating their followers. The FO also urged the global community to designate “Majeed Brigade” as another name for the Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA), so it can be recognized internationally as a terrorist group.
Finally, Pakistan called on the world to adopt neutral and fair policies to fight terrorism, stressing that only collective efforts can solve this global challenge.
