Pakistan army conducts emergency rescue operations in Orakzai and Kurram after heavy snowfall

Pakistan Army’s swift response restored vital connectivity and delivered essential relief to affected communities.

The Pakistan Army carried out swift rescue and relief operations in the districts of Orakzai and Kurram after heavy rainfall and snowfall severely disrupted daily life and blocked major roads.

In Orakzai, intense snowfall completely cut off access to several areas, including Kalaya Darbar village, causing serious transportation difficulties and delaying funeral arrangements. Army personnel, supported by heavy machinery, worked under extremely harsh weather conditions to clear the blocked routes. Their timely efforts restored access, enabling local residents to perform funeral prayers and burials with dignity.

Meanwhile, emergency operations were also launched in Kurram district. The army successfully reopened the 8-kilometer Taudo Obu Road using heavy machinery, while the Manato Sada Road remained closed due to ongoing snowfall. Several vehicles stranded on snow-covered routes were safely rescued and moved to secure locations.

The Pakistan Army’s rapid and coordinated response helped restore critical connectivity and provided much-needed relief to communities affected by the severe weather conditions.
