
Pakistan 7 medals in Asian Jr Squash Championships
ISLAMABAD: Pakistani players secured a total of seven medals at the 32nd Asian Junior Individual Squash Championships 2025, held in South Korea.
According to a press release, they won two gold, two silver, and one bronze medal in the main event, along with two additional gold medals in the plate event.
1)Sohail Adnan (U-13) and Nauman Khan (U-15) claimed gold medals, while Ahmed Rayyan Khalil (U-15) and Mahnoor Ali (Girls U-13) secured silver medals. Abdullah Nawaz (U-19) earned a bronze medal. In the plate event, Yahya Khan (U-17) and M. Mustafa (U-13) also captured gold medals.
2) In the Boys U-15 final, Nauman Khan (PAK) defeated Ahmad Rayyan Khalil (PAK) in straight sets, 12-10, 11-6, 11-2 (3-0).
3) In the Boys U-13 category, Muhammad Sohail Adnan (PAK) overcame Ayaan Dhanuka (IND) with a 3-1 win, scoring 11-5, 11-2, 11-13, 11-6
4) In the Girls U-13 final, Yin Z (CHN) edged past Mahnoor Ali (PAK) in a close five-set match, winning 9-11, 11-6, 11-9, 9-11, 12-10 (3-2).
5) In the plate events, Yahya Khan (PAK) beat Chanyoung K (KOR) 11-9, 11-7 (2-0) in Boys U-17, while Muhammad Mustafa (PAK) defeated Tse K C (HKG) 11-3, 11-8 (2-0) in Boys U-13.
The Pakistan Squash Federation congratulated all the medalists and declared that Pakistan squash is back on track. The federation called winning gold medals at major events a significant achievement and expressed pride in the country’s young squash stars.
