Pak women win King Cup opener

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan women team defeated Tajikistan 2-1 in the Billie Jean King Cup underway in Colombo (Sri Lanka).

Ushna Suhail won against Saiyora 6-3, 6-1 and then pairing with Meheq Khokhar defeated the opponents 6-0, 6-1. Due to injury Amana Ali was unable to play the third game after winning the first and losing the second. Pakistan will face Turkmenistan in the next match.
