Pak-ID App gets Smarter: NADRA announces new update
The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) is preparing to launch a major update to its Pak-ID mobile app, aiming to enhance user convenience and streamline services. The upgrade will initially roll out at 43 selected NADRA Registration Centers (NRCs) across Pakistan. This step is expected to significantly reduce long queues and improve service delivery by allowing citizens to complete many processes digitally.
The Pak-ID app already supports CNIC applications and biometric login, but this new update will transform it into a full-service platform for engaging with NADRA. With the new features, users will be able to save time and avoid unnecessary visits to registration centers by managing key tasks through their mobile devices.
Cities included in the first phase of the rollout are Islamabad, Lahore, Karachi, Rawalpindi, and Peshawar, along with other major areas like Quetta, Multan, Faisalabad, Hyderabad, Bahawalpur, and Gilgit. Even remote locations such as Skardu, Gwadar, and Diamer will be covered, ensuring broad access to the improved digital services.
One of the key additions in the update is the ability for users to view available time slots and schedule their appointments in advance. NADRA hopes this feature will help ease overcrowding and make visits to NRCs more efficient and organized.
Citizens are encouraged to keep their Pak-ID mobile app updated so they can access the new tools as soon as they’re available. This upgrade supports the government’s wider digital transformation agenda, which focuses on speed, transparency, and public convenience. With this move, NADRA continues to play a leading role in bringing tech-driven solutions to everyday citizen services.
