
Rawalpindi: Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir said that Pakistan-China strategic partnership stands as a symbol of deep mutual trust, steadfast support, and a unified vision for regional peace and stability.
He was addressing an event organised to commemorate the 98th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) of China at GHQ on Friday, the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a statement.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), a ceremony was held at the General Headquarters (GHQ) to mark the 98th anniversary of China’s People’s Liberation Army (PLA), with the Chinese Ambassador attending as the chief guest.
The event was also attended by Chinese Defence Attaché Major General Wang Zhong, officials from the Chinese Embassy, and senior officers from Pakistan’s tri-services.
Field Marshal Asim Munir congratulated the PLA on its founding anniversary and praised its role in China’s defense, security, and national development. He also highlighted the importance of strategic cooperation between Pakistan and China.
He stated that the bilateral ties between the two nations are rooted in a unique and time-tested friendship. Both countries share common positions on regional and global challenges, and their relationship is anchored in deep mutual trust, steadfast support, and shared goals.
The Field Marshal emphasized that despite evolving strategic dynamics, the friendship between Pakistan and China remains solid and unshakable.
According to ISPR, the Chinese Ambassador appreciated the initiative to organize the ceremony and lauded the role of the Pakistan Armed Forces in the fight against terrorism. He also reaffirmed China’s commitment to its strategic partnership and continued support for Pakistan.
