“There are no words to describe the heartbreak I feel witnessing the devastation that is being inflicted upon innocent people in Palestine. Mothers, fathers, and children in Gaza are starving, dehydrated, and being denied access to basic medical care and humanitarian aid.”
Rodrigo highlighted the broader human cost of conflict and concluded by encouraging donations.
Her post included a direct link to UNICEF USA, an organisation that has provided aid to children in Gaza and the West Bank since the 1980s.
Despite criticism from some who felt Rodrigo’s message arrived late, many praised her for taking a public stand.
Rodrigo’s history of advocacy includes campaigns for reproductive rights, immigrant support, and voter engagement.
