ISLAMABAD: Pakistan People’s Party Parliamentarians (PPPP) Secretary General Nayyar Hussain Bukhari has strongly rejected recent speculations circulating against President Asif Ali Zardari, terming them baseless and unfounded.
In an official statement, Bukhari stated that President Zardari is the duly elected President of Pakistan, and any rumors or speculation about his position hold no constitutional or legal merit.
“Those spreading such speculation clearly lack an understanding of the Constitution and the law,” Bukhari said.
He further emphasized that the federal government cannot function without the support of the Pakistan Peoples Party, reinforcing the party’s pivotal role in the country’s political structure.
He said that the members of the Assembly have the right to remove the prime minister or the chief minister in the constitution. The removal of a chief minister with no confidence does not make the system unstable.
Bukhari said that the PPP is not joining the federal cabinet while PTI does not believe in talks.
