ISLAMABAD: The Family Registration Certificate (FRC) issued by NADRA is an important document that includes complete details of all registered family members.
This certificate is crucial for Pakistani citizens, as it helps confirm that their family members are officially recorded in NADRA’s system, which is required when applying for other official documents.
You can apply for an FRC under three categories:
- By Birth: Lists your parents and siblings.
- By Marriage: Includes your spouse and children.
- By Adoption: Shows the guardian details of the adopted individual.
However, only those who have a valid 13-digit NADRA-issued CNIC or B-Form number can be listed in the certificate.
Pakistanis can get their FRC either by visiting a NADRA Registration Centre (NRC) or by applying online through the Pak-Identity website. Overseas Pakistanis can also apply through their nearest Pakistani embassy or consulate.
As of August 2025, the fee for obtaining a Family Registration Certificate remains fixed at Rs. 1,000.
