NA speaker expresses gratitude to Saudi Crown Prince for steadfast support to Pakistan

On Sunday, National Assembly Speaker Ayaz Sadiq met Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and thanked Riyadh for supporting Pakistan during difficult times.

The Saudi crown prince hosted a luncheon to honor Muslim leaders visiting Saudi Arabia to perform Hajj, including NA Speaker Sadiq and Sindh Governor Kamran Tessori. He expressed his commitment to addressing the challenges facing the Muslim world.

During his interaction with the crown prince, Sadiq said that Saudi Arabia has always supported Pakistan during difficult times. He added that Pakistanis are grateful for the kingdom’s leadership’s clear stance on matters concerning Pakistan.

He also said that the Pakistani nation highly regards the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques. The NA speaker expressed hope that the brotherly nations would further enhance their bilateral ties.

“I am deeply grateful to the Saudi leadership, especially the crown prince, for inviting me as a royal guest on the sacred journey of Hajj,” Governor Tessori said in an X post.

He commended the exemplary arrangements for the pilgrims and the services provided to the Muslim Ummah. Tessori also extended an invitation to the Saudi crown prince to visit Pakistan.

This event took place two days after Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir visited the kingdom.

The crown prince personally received PM Shehbaz during his two-day visit to the kingdom and even drove him to the royal lunch hosted in his honour at the Royal Court.

The Saudi crown prince gave the premier a grand welcome and included him as a special guest at the luncheon, reflecting the long-standing brotherly relations between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia and Islamabad’s diplomatic achievements under PM Shehbaz’s leadership.
