
CAIRO: Federal Minister for Health Syed Mustafa Kamal arrived in Cairo, Egypt, to attend the 72nd Session of the WHO Regional Committee for the Eastern Mediterranean, accompanied by a high-level Pakistani delegation.
The key regional forum brings together health ministers and representatives from member countries to discuss public health policies, regional cooperation, and shared challenges across the Eastern Mediterranean region.
The meeting will focus on advancing health initiatives, reforms, and international collaboration to strengthen healthcare systems.
During his visit, Minister Kamal is also scheduled to hold a bilateral meeting with the Saudi Minister of Health to discuss mutual cooperation, ongoing and planned health projects, and coordinated regional strategies for improved healthcare delivery.
Pakistan remains committed to enhancing global health cooperation in partnership with the World Health Organization (WHO), and its participation in the meeting underscores this continued commitment to advancing public health at the international level.
