
KARACHI: As many as 30,430 players have been registered for onward activities in the current financial year under Prime Minister’s Youth Programme (talent hunt and sports activities).
According to Pakistan Economic Survey 2024-25, the players got registered were 1690 for boxing and 28,740 for cricket. The registration drive for sports under the said initiative recorded total registration of 42,635 players including the onward registration for cricket and boxing.
The registration drive has been completed for table tennis, handball, and judo and total 5,267 players were registered for table tennis, 4300 for handball, and 2638 for judo. The program includes 12 games entitlwed Badminton, Boxing, Cricket, Football, Handball, Hockey, Judo, Squash, Table Tennis, Volleyball, Weightlifting, and Wrestling.
