Hajj 2026: Ministry to begin collecting first installment of dues in August

ISLAMABAD: The Ministry of Religious Affairs is preparing to start collecting Hajj 2026 dues from registered Pakistani pilgrims in the first week of August 2025.

As in previous years, the payment process will be done in two installments. The first installment is expected to range between Rs500,000 and Rs550,000, and will be collected on a first-come, first-served basis. Only those who have already completed their registration will be allowed to submit payments.

The dues can be deposited at authorized banks designated by the ministry. Once Pakistan’s official quota for Hajj is filled, the collection process will be closed.

Registration & Quota Details:

So far, over 450,000 Pakistanis have registered for Hajj 2026, showing strong public interest. Pakistan has been allocated a total quota of 179,210 pilgrims, which includes both government and private Hajj schemes.

However, due to the country’s growing population and increasing demand, officials say Pakistan plans to request an enhanced quota of up to 230,000 pilgrims. This increase, if approved, would be subject to the consent of Saudi authorities.

What to Expect Next:

The Ministry of Religious Affairs urges all registered applicants to stay alert for official announcements regarding the exact dates and procedures for submitting payments. Those who delay may miss the opportunity, as the quota will be filled on a first-come basis.

The second installment and complete Hajj package details will be shared closer to the final departure schedule.
