Milo Ventimiglia misses his ‘Gilmore’ costars Jared Padalecki, Matt Czuchry

Milo Ventimiglia just started a new chapter of fatherhood, but he misses the days of fighting with Jared Padalecki and Matt Czuchry over Rory Gilmore’s heart.
Speaking to People magazine in an interview published October 27, the 48-year-old actor admitted he “missed” his “lovely” former Gilmore Girls costars.
The conversation came up when the This is Us star was told that Padalecki and Czuchry — who played Dean and Logan on the beloved series — came together for a fall Panera Bread campaign last month.
“There was a Panera commercial? I’ve got a newborn daughter, I live under a rock. I had no idea,” said Ventimiglia — who welcomed his first daughter with wife Jarah Mariano in January.
The ad, released in September, featured Padalecki and Czuchry poking fun at their Gilmore characters while introducing Panera’s new fall soups.
Each flavour was tied to one of Rory’s famous love interests — Dean as the “reliable” Fireside Chili, Logan as the “sophisticated” Autumn Squash Soup, and Jess, of course, as the “bad boy” Black Bean Soup who “left without even saying goodbye.”
“Oh, that’s funny,” Ventimiglia said when told his character made the cut in the ad. “I’ll have to look it up. Those guys are both so lovely, such lovely dudes. I miss them. I definitely do miss them.”
The nostalgic reunion comes as Gilmore Girls celebrates its 25th anniversary — a milestone that Ventimiglia admits he’s still wrapping his head around.
“I think that’s a pretty special thing for a series to have that longevity,” he said. “To inspire new audiences, and especially young girls to educate and live kind of a Rory life, I think it’s wonderful.”
