
A major fire erupted at a factory located in the Landhi Export Processing Zone area of Karachi.
Upon receiving reports of the fire, Rescue 1122 was immediately alerted through the Central Command and Control system. Fire and rescue teams, along with ambulances and fire brigade trucks, rushed to the scene without delay.
According to a Rescue spokesperson, firefighting teams are actively engaged in efforts to control the blaze. The fire broke out on the second floor of a used clothing factory operated by a company named ZA Enterprises in the Landhi Export Processing Zone.
Officials stated that as it was after working hours, all employees had already left the factory. As a result, no workers were present at the time of the incident, and no casualties have been reported.
A total of 13 fire brigade vehicles are participating in the firefighting operation, while a snorkel is also being used to reach elevated areas of the building. Rescue officials said the intensity of the fire is high, and it is expected to take time to fully bring the blaze under control.
