ABBOTTABAD:
An Additional Sessions Judge in Abbottabad has sentenced the main accused in a high-profile murder case to life imprisonment, following the fatal stabbing of a local resident in the Jhangi area.
The verdict came after extensive legal arguments, with the prosecution led by prominent Supreme Court lawyer Advocate Atif Ali Jadoon.
According to case details, the incident occurred on September 13, 2022, when the accused, Faizan, along with his brothers Nauman and Arsalan, attacked Raza Khan as he was returning home. During the altercation, Faizan fatally stabbed Raza Khan multiple times, resulting in his death at the scene due to excessive bleeding.
In the same attack, Raza Khan’s sister and his nephew, Abu Bakar, were also injured after being assaulted with a knife. Both victims were rushed to a hospital and survived after receiving timely medical treatment.
In a bid to mislead law enforcement, Faizan reportedly inflicted injuries upon himself and attempted to file a counter-FIR.
