Karachi: Pakistani model and actress Mamia Shah Jaffar is currently facing a wave of criticism from social media users over her recent “bold” appearance.
The actress is reportedly on vacation with her husband, Farooq Gul a photographer, creative director, and designer on the picturesque island of Koh Samui in Thailand.
She shared several photos from her trip on social media, which quickly drew significant backlash from users. Many questioned her faith, asking, Are you Muslim?” One particularly critical user commented on her attire, suggesting, “You might as well not have worn anything.”
The criticism continued with one user remarking, “Mamia has a lot of courage; she keeps challenging the Pakistani public daily by wearing such clothes.” Another user suggested, “For people like Mamia, this is the only way to gain fame, especially when you have no talent.”
Mamia Shah Jaffar rose to prominence through Hum TV’s popular serial ‘Meesni,’ where she played a dual role. Her on-screen pairing with Bilal Qureshi was particularly well-received by fans. She has also appeared in dramas such as ‘Jhok Sarkar,’ ‘College Gate,’ ‘Faraar,’ and ‘Jaan Se Pyara Johnny.’ Mamia is known for her passion for art, including dance, acting, and painting.
