Madison Beer opens up about struggling with social media and its impact on her mental health

Beer, who has previously spoken about the negative effects of social media on her mental health

Singer Madison Beer, 26, revealed that her relationship with social media is currently “really poor,” citing constant anxiety and a desire to disconnect from online platforms.

Beer, who has previously spoken about the negative effects of social media on her mental health, shared her ongoing struggles with maintaining a healthy digital presence.

The pop artist described feeling overwhelmed by the duality of social media content—while she appreciates positive messages from fans, she frequently encounters hate comments and negative posts that affect her well-being.

Despite having over 40 million followers on Instagram and 21 million on TikTok, Beer expressed frustration over feeling deprived of a typical social media experience enjoyed by her peers.

“I feel like I’m constantly anxious and feeling like I want to delete all my social media,” she admitted. “It’s something I actually struggle with weekly, where I think about quitting altogether. But then I see videos of fans expressing their love and excitement, which reminds me why I appreciate connecting with my audience.”

Beer emphasized the toll that social media can take on mental health, highlighting the importance of balance and self-care for influencers and everyday users alike. Her openness sheds light on the challenges faced by many in the digital age, especially those in the public eye.
