
Building collapsed in Baghdadi (Lyari)
Karachi: In the aftermath of the tragic collapse of a five-story building in Lyari area Baghdadi , which claimed 27 lives last week, authorities have swiftly responded by establishing a high-level investigation committee.
Commissioner Karachi Hassan Naqvi has been appointed as the chairman of the five-member committee tasked with probing the incident. The committee includes officials from the Local Government department, Sindh Building Control Authority (SBCA), and other relevant agencies.
The notification issued by authorities states that the committee will investigate the causes behind the building’s collapse, identify those responsible, and formulate recommendations to prevent such tragedies in the future.
The panel is expected to submit its report within 48 hours.
It is worth noting that last week, a five-story building in the Lyari Baghdadi area of Karachi collapsed, resulting in the death of 27 people.
