
Lahore: In Johar Town, Lahore, a lion at a farm house attacked and injured a woman and two children.
According to police, the lion, kept as a pet at a farmhouse in Johar Town, was left in an open cage. The lion climbing over the wall of the farmhouse, entering the street, and injuring a woman walking by.
A man from the farmhouse was seen rushing to rescue the woman during the attack. The lion then moved forward and injured two children, aged 5 and 7, identified as Zoya and Azhaan, respectively, along with 27-year-old Samina. The injured individuals were immediately taken to the hospital for treatment.
Police have identified the owners of the farmhouse as two brothers, Malik Azam named (Shani) and Malik Nazim.
D.I.G Operations Faisal Kamran stated that the safety of citizens’ lives and property is a top priority. Action will be taken against those responsible for negligence.
A spokesperson from the Wildlife Department revealed that Malik Azam named (Shani) has gone into hiding along with the lion, and authorities are actively searching for both.
