Light drizzle likely as humidity persists in Karachi

KARACHI: The city is likely to experience partly cloudy and humid weather over the next 24 hours, according to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD).

Light drizzle is expected in some areas, while maximum temperatures are forecast to range between 33°C and 35°C.

The minimum temperature was recorded at 28.5 degrees Celsius, the Meteorological Department said. The humidity in the city is 75 %.

According to the Meteorological Department, the sea winds are running at an 8km hour.

Karachi is likely to drive strong winds over the next three days, Sukkur Barrage has a lower level flood, while the flow of water on the Kotri Barrage is normal.

On the other hand, Pakistan Meteorological Department has once again predicted rainfall in several parts of the country.

According to the latest advisory, monsoon currents are expected to intensify from today, particularly affecting the upper regions of the country.

As a result, heavy rainfall is likely at isolated places in Islamabad, Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Kashmir from today through Thursday.

Heavy rains can cause floods, rivers in the rivers and land sliding in the mountainous areas. Balochistan has been forecast for torrential rains from tomorrow night to July 31.

Meanwhile, Sindh is expected to receive rain on Wednesday and Thursday.
